Summary
WeekFit (“we”, “the app”) is a local-first fitness planner for iOS. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is used.
- Your plan and preferences stay on your device.
- We do not operate cloud sync or required user accounts.
- We do not sell your data or use cross-app tracking for advertising.
- Product analytics (opt-in in Settings) and crash diagnostics help us improve the app — without HealthKit samples, derived health/recovery data, or personal identity.
Data the app accesses
Apple Health (optional but recommended)
With your permission, WeekFit reads health and activity data such as sleep, heart rate, workouts, steps, active energy, and nutrition metrics to personalize Coach, Today, Plan, and Home Screen widgets. WeekFit does not write workouts back to Apple Health.
In line with Apple's HealthKit requirements, data obtained through HealthKit is used only to provide features inside WeekFit. It is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never sold or shared with third parties or data brokers.
Camera (optional)
Used only when you add photos to custom foods.
Location (optional)
Approximate location may be used to adjust the Night Comfort theme at local sunset. Location is not stored on a server.
On-device storage
The app stores planned activities, meal preferences, profile settings, and a Home Screen widget snapshot locally on your iPhone (including UserDefaults and SwiftData). Widget data never leaves the device.
Product analytics and crash diagnostics
WeekFit uses Firebase Analytics for product usage measurement when you enable Share Product Analytics in Settings (off by default). Firebase Crashlytics is used for crash diagnostics and may collect crash reports independently of the analytics preference. Events are not linked to your name or email. We do not send raw HealthKit values, derived health or recovery information, calories, macros, meal titles, barcodes, coach message text, or other personal health content to Firebase.
Optional feedback
If you choose Help WeekFit or send feedback, your message is prepared as an email to support@weekfit.app (mailto). You control whether to send it. Feedback is not used for advertising.
What we do not collect
- No advertising identifiers / IDFA
- No cross-app tracking for ads
- No cloud upload of HealthKit data
- No required sign-in or email collection to use the app
Data retention and deletion
Plan, meal preferences, and profile settings live on your device. To erase that app data, delete WeekFit from your device. Data you granted from Apple Health stays in the Health app under your control. Analytics and crash reports retained by Firebase follow Google’s retention practices for those services; they do not include your HealthKit samples or derived health/recovery information. You can change product analytics anytime in WeekFit Settings → Privacy & Data → Share Product Analytics.
Managing permissions
You can review or revoke Apple Health, Camera, and Location access at any time in the iOS Settings app. Revoking Apple Health access may limit personalization in Coach, Today, and Plan.
Future features
If future versions add account services or cloud sync of your plan, we will update this policy and disclose those practices before they ship.
Children
WeekFit is not directed at children under 13.
